At Unlimited Promise, we have debates and discussions on modern music, movies, television, magazines and websites. Some of the topics may be considered controversial but at UP the voice of the youth can be heard, so we encourage them to speak up and speak out.
We take a deep dive into how mass communication has an impact on society and why the media creates marketing strategies.
UP provides critical thinking skills and conflict resolution techniques, combined with media awareness training and goal setting.
As a means to illustrate life lessons and build professional skills, we use many techniques in our program including:
Lifelong Learning
Financial Basics
Community Service
Teens 13-15 from 2:00-3:30
Teens 16-19 from 3:30-5:30
Our youth are thirsting for positive leadership and development. We focus on dealing with peer pressure, conflict resolution, improving relationships, understanding how to boost self-esteem, and building life skills. Plus we have FUN!
Images of the poor in the media are often portrayed negatively. It is important to discuss and provide some alternatives to the negativity we ingest.
Providing the skills to become productive members of the community is the main goal of Unlimited Promise. We believe that this mentoring program is the key to unlocking the closed doors in young minds.
Mentors play a big part in how our communities develop. Mentors and volunteers at UP are united in our belief that ALL teens:
Although not all adolescents are at high risk for committing truancy, we operate under the premise that gathering for these meetings will foster the spirit of working together and practicing unity.
No matter your background or current walk of life, there is real power in honoring our differences as gifts. Our unique contributions to the world need not trigger competition or conflict.
At Unlimited Promise, teens will set both personal and academic goals of their choosing. We work toward those goals during the course of the program.
Our program is discussion based, but on occasion there are assignments. We know teens already have a lot on their plate, so our assignments will be different...they will be fun and most of them can be completed during our time together.
We offer tutoring for reading and writing upon request. So if you need it, just ask!
We will treat everybody with respect and in turn expect everyone to be considerate of each other. We reserve the right to withdraw any youth from the program at any time and at our discretion.
We will have a youth elected president, vice president, administrator and treasurer.
We believe young adults need to learn and appreciate the value of earning a dollar. We will conduct a minimum of two annual fundraisers to assist with the cost of activities and field trips. Our youth will have some say so in both how we earn the money and where we decide to go.

To create a passion for learning we must move beyond the classroom to cultural experiences. Applied skills and innovative developments come from broadened horizons.
We want our youth to be open minded and adaptable, not hosting feelings of isolation. Exposure to enriching experiences benefit the youth in ways both seen and unseen.
So that we can make enlightenment a living, breathing part of our program, Please consider giving $10, $20, $50, or $100
Schools are offering field trips less and less these days. We know families of disadvantaged students are less likely to substitute with their own efforts when schools do not offer these enrichments to learning.
Field trips and excursions allow our youth to gain cultural perspective. But these types of teachable moments involve cash$$$.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and fund our mission.
